Crucifix of San Damiano

The original San Damiano Crucifix is in the Basilica of Santa Chiara in Assisi. On the large front wall of the Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Arabia in Awali, Bahrain, a copy of this famous crucifix has been placed equal to the original in size and materials used (wood, fabric, masonry mortar, colors, waxes and gold). The canvas soaked in masonry mortar shows the painting and is applied on wood. The colors, finishing with pure gold leaf and a fine wax patina, returned a fascinating result. […]

St. Francis and the trial by fire

The reproduction of Giotto ‘s fresco showing the meeting of St. Francis with Ayyubid Sultan al-Malik al-Kamil was made for the Holy See pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020. It is placed in a small round-shaped loop as if it were a cylinder open on one side. This installation, begins the journey of visitors who can get close to the work to the point of touching it, appreciating the workmanship on authentic lime wall, quite similar to the traditional fresco. The original work attributed to Giotto, is located in Assisi in the basilica Maggiore and has a size of 230×270 cm, smaller than the reproduction that was enlarged for exhibition needs. […]

Our Lady of Arabia BAHRAIN

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Arabia inaugurated on Dec. 9 and consecrated on Dec. 10 in Awali (Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain), was decorated with Epogea techniques. For this important work, specific structures and technical means capable of handling 16 large canvases ranging in size from 18 to 22 square meters, with a constant height of 406 cm, were made in Italy, on which the Mystery Crown made by Kiko Argüello in the 1980s in the church of San Bartolomeo in Tuto in Scandicci (FI) was reproduced […]

Pfarre Linz-Herz Jesu

In some places it is not allowed to remove previous works, however, it may be necessary to renovate or change the environment with new decorations. The case of Pfarre Linz-Herz Jesu in Austria, prompted us to propose and produce a large jute cloth of about 45 square meters held by tie rods that detached it from the back wall that was also decorated. […]

Expo Dubai 2020

For the Holy See Pavilion at Expo Dubai 2020, a new work was required, not a technical reproduction. In fact, it involved developing the painting on a curved wall of a large dome measuring almost 9 x 4 meters. This intervention allowed us to experiment with a new balance between technique and art. […]

Celestine V - Diocese of Sulmona

This production combining pictorial tradition and modern printing techniques ensures color stability for many years. You can feel the masonry material in the touch, which emphasizes the painting. In this way, images of artworks made on a masonry basis become a good expression and just memory of the original, its history and value.[…]

Wind Rose - St.Peter

The bronze casting of the “East Wind” placed in the center of St. Peter’s Square reminds us of the richness of content, sometimes even hidden, present in the great works that belong to our history.

The “Wind of Levant” was placed at the center of the Holy See pavilion at the Beijing Horticulture Expo, which opened on April 29, 2019. […]

Pine needles

An arrangement of silvered pine needles can become, as in this case, an exclusive idea. The wooden base combines with the light and precious component of pure silver-covered needles in an effective contrast. This composition highlights the expressive capacity of nature, augmented by the Epogea silvering process. […]
